Kandla grey porcelain slabs features and specifications

Kandla grey porcelain paving slabs have been designed to look just like natural stone, with varying grey tone throughout and a finish that mimics the naturally occurring riven surface texture of sandstone. Our smooth Kandla grey porcelain tiles are manufactured using finely-graded sand combined with natural minerals including silica, calcium carbonates, iron oxides, and clays to give them impressive load bearing characteristics and make them weather resistant. Silver Kandla grey porcelain slabs are a stunning and contemporary look for any garden, and are perfect for projects such as:

  • Patio paving
  • Pathways
  • Driveways
  • Garden paving

This vitrified Kandla grey porcelain offers you the best of both worlds, and as well as enjoying the beauty of natural stone you can also benefit from:

  • Low maintenance – porcelain tiles only require a simple cleaning with soapy water
  • Robust and durable – thanks to high firing temperatures your Kandla grey porcelain tiles can withstand all weather conditions and heavy footfall.
  • Anti-slip and anti-frost – the low water absorption rate means that Kandla grey porcelain is perfect for the British weather!
  • No fading colour, even when exposed to direct sunlight for long periods of time
  • Moss and algae resistant.

We have a wide range of Kandla grey porcelain slabs and Kandla grey Indian sandstone paving available for you to choose at prices to suit every budget. Whether you are looking for a low maintenance option, or you prefer the rustic charm of natural stone, we have stunning paving tiles and slabs to suit every garden.

Natural Variation Information

Our Kandla grey porcelain 600×900 tiles will not fade when exposed to direct sunlight for long periods of time, thanks to the high firing temperatures and the colour printing that each slab has before being sold. This gives you the best of both worlds and you can enjoy the colours and shades of natural stone without worrying about them ageing or changing over the years. However, it is important to note that Kandla grey porcelain paving is manufactured in batches, and therefore the colour and texture may vary from batch to batch. It is recommended that you record the batch colour code of the porcelain that is ordered in case you need to order further stock in the future.

Installation and Aftercare

Kandla grey porcelain patio tiles need to be installed differently to naturally occurring stone as they are not as porous and will not stick securely if installed incorrectly. You will need to ensure that the groundwork base has been correctly prepared, and you will need to use a full bed of semi-wet mix of 5:1 sharp sand to cement.

You will also need to ensure that you have primed the tiles correctly before laying them to ensure that they bond securely to the base. We would always recommend a skilled professional to lay patios to help your patio or driveway to stand the test of time.

To clean your porcelain paving slabs, it is recommended to use a power washer or a PH neutral detergent mixed with warm water and a stiff brush to scrub the surface of the tiles.
